IT IS OFFICIALLY FALL, Y’ALL. What better time to set some new, but realistic, corset goals?! Create your plan, stick to it, and watch yourself transform before your eyes.
Fall is definitely the season of change; we are shedding the old and outdated versions of ourselves, and getting ready for (big!) changes to come. JUST LIKE THE LEAVES OUTSIDE!
So having an actual PLAN seriously helps. I know when I plan out my day, my content, or hell, my grocery list, I methodically think about how I’m going to feel and how I’m going to change throughout the day or week or month, even. And I know that sometimes having a (strict) plan can seem too committal, maybe even suffocating or uninspired. For some, not having a plan seems easier, spontaneous, or perhaps a bit careless, depending on how you look at it. And before you know it, you realize you’re drifting, not reaching goals, and 10-20 pounds heavier by New Year. Yikes!
Having a (realistic) plan is essential when it comes to your body goals. Don’t be “careless” about your health or goals.
Inconsistency is a form of disrespect. – Unknown
I’ll be the first to say I’ve been known in the past (IRL & on my YouTube channel) to be very inconsistent. Although I agree that inconsistency is a form of disrespect, I do think sometimes taking a break, slowing down, and gathering data, can be beneficial, too. When I was taking my corset training “sabbatical” 4-5 years ago (for “personal growth, travel, and rest” is what I told myself), it gave me a break to see if I really wanted to keep going with my waist training journey & creating content about it.
But after my long rendezvous without a corset, I fell back in love with the idea of why I corset train. And I can say with confidence that my “why” will always keep me in check! Yours will too, if chosen carefully.
Why I corset train reminds me every frikin’ day not to give up, to keep going even when I don’t want to (unless I have a neck ache, head ache, or I’m editing a piece of content!), to stay consistent because I respect myself, my goals, and my WHY. I have a free Corset Training Plan Template that you can download to help you remember your WHY and keep you accountable on your corset training journey, as well as a blog post & YouTube video that tie into the free PDF.
Don’t fall for the pumpkin propaganda – stay laced & reach your goals!
Now look, I’m not saying, “Don’t eat ANY Fall flavors ALL season long!”
Obviously you’re a monster if you say/do that, right?! LOL.
But what I am saying is save the calories for a special occasion, or a moment that calls for it, like when you’re on your period. Or just one day during the weekend (not all weekend). Share the calories with someone, eat 1/2 now and save the other 1/2 for another day or another person.
We’re training our waists, not our mouths and taste buds. We know what pumpkin spice and caramel apple and all the other Fall flavors taste like. And if you say you don’t you’re lying to yourself. We don’t have to have a “little treat” every single frikin’ day, or just because some company came out with the same damn cookie they’ve sold every year, and just slapped another “Limited Edition” sticker on it! And not just because you keep finding new Fall recipes on Pinterest and TikTok and are dying to test and use your new baking toys.
I’ll say it again for the people in the back:
Trying new Fall flavors, eating your favorite Fall treats, and testing out your baking skills is 100% something you SHOULD do this Fall. BUT NOT EVERY SINGLE DAY. NOT FOR THE ENTIRE WEEKEND. NOT BECAUSE IF YOU DON’T, YOU’LL GET FOMO. AND ESPECIALLY NOT WHEN YOU’VE HAD A LONG DAY AND JUST NEED A “LITTLE TREAT”.
Stop sabotaging yourself every chance you get. Stop cheating on your future self.
Reminder: we’re not monsters, we will have and enjoy our favorite Fall flavors this season. But we will NOT overdo it, because we are NOT gluttons, so we will NOT regret it the next time we’re trying to put on our corset.
Have some disciple! Have some self respect! Don’t let this beautiful season be your downfall. AGAIN. Don’t fall for Fall (flavors). Stay laced and reach your corset and waist goals.
