Do corsets cause indigestion or constipation?

From my experience, corsets have actually helped my digestion and constipation.

The pressure somehow aids in bowel movement, as well as bloating.

It’s important you get enough fiber and water, especially while wearing a corset.

I recommend always taking off your corset completely when you need to use the restroom (#2).

Pushing and tensing up your tummy with a tight corset on is one of the most uncomfortable things, 0/10 do not recommend!

If you are getting indigestion when you wear your corset, it’s most likely because you’re either eating too much food, or the wrong types of food.

These include: carbonated drinks, fried or greasy food, and in some cases, dairy and excess amounts of bread or rice (carbs expand in your belly).

Also, some cruciferous greens, like broccoli or cauliflower, can cause bloating, gas, and pain especially when wearing your corset.

If you’re constipated, it’s most likely because you’re not drinking enough water, getting enough fiber, moving around enough (exercise), or there’s an underlying health reason.

However, some people do notice slower digestion, because the large intestine is near the waist line.

And with a very tight corset on, the large intestine might be restricted, but only to a minimum.
